Made from premium Akita Sake Komachi rice and Akitaryu Hana Yeast, this sake embodies the natural blessings of Akita. It offers a moderate aroma, delicate sweetness, crisp acidity, and a silky-smooth finish with refined Ginjo notes. The name Shosei, which translates to “Voice of the Pines,” was inspired by the haiku pen name of the 16th-generation Matsusuke, honoring a long-standing family tradition.

This sake is packaged in a bottle that resembles the traditional hollowed out gourd carried by Toyotomi Hideyoshi during Japan’s feudal age. When poured, the bottle makes a gulping sound that fills the room with delight. This sake is crisp, refreshing, and pairs well with any meal. Its nickname, Namacho is an abbreviation of its longer Japanese name Honjozo Namachoso-shu Hyotan.
