Thank you always for following our Sake Brewery Diary. This is Shibata from the Sales Department.
On June 13th, I had the privilege of experiencing rice planting for the “Yamada Nishiki” rice grown in the so-called “Akita Village” located in Taka Town, Hyogo Prefecture. This rice is cultivated for the Akita Prefecture Brewers Association.
Under the blazing sun that felt like midsummer, I gained a true appreciation for the hard work of the local farmers. Though my hands were inexperienced, I did my best to help with the planting.

That evening, we deepened our bonds through a delightful gathering, where the local farmers and representatives of sake breweries from Akita Prefecture exchanged information over delicious sake and dishes.
A heartfelt thank you to the producers of Taka Town for your incredible hospitality and continued support!

On my way out of the venue, I couldn’t resist snapping a picture of the beautiful, clear night sky with the stunning full moon shining brightly.
